#HyperMax Ti Turnbuckle Installation

We get lots of questions as to how others build the buckles, here’s our how to;

1) First things first, open up that nifty package and get your buckles. Have your ball-cups and a 1/8” bit ready to ream the cups! Get some black grease or any grease that isn’t too sticky.

2) Obviously we start out with the bit in a handle drill. Slowly ream the cup. Take your time, there’s no rush. We prefer to do all ball-cups prior to building the buckles as it’s much simpler. Be sure to clear the drill bit of extra plastic while drilling each cup.

3) When you are done with that, get some black grease out or your preferred grease that isn’t too sticky. Dip the end of your buckle in the grease, you don’t need a ton, smear the grease evenly, then run on the ball-cup. The grease assures it’s smooth and adjustable without popping the cup when adjusting. We’ve found that running the cup on all the way, backing it off about half way, and running it back to your needed setting is best for future adjustments.
